Who doesn’t love a good Tootsie Pop? How about Sour Patch Kids? Sometimes we all need a taste of something sweet to take us back to when we were kids going trick-or-treating on a Halloween night. The sad part is we aren’t so young anymore. Life has gone by, and now we need a sweetener, but it isn’t so easy getting the sweetener we’re yearning for. That’s okay, because NSFWLists has you covered. Today, I’ll be reviewing Candy AI, one of the premier AI girlfriend apps that is renowned for it’s realistic, yet fantasy-like experiences. Buckle up folks, because this is going to be a wild, wet, awe-inducing ride.
OurDream AI promises its users engaging chat, customizable companions, images, videos, voice features, and adult roleplay in one platform. For this review, I created my own character, tested the different chat options, generated media, and spent time figuring out whether the DreamCoin system makes the experience worth paying for. What is OurDream AI?
To start things off, let’s quickly go over what OurDream AI is. OurDream AI is an AI girlfriend app that sets itself apart from many competitors by putting more emphasis on fantasy and storytelling, rather than simply texting back and forth with an chatbot that pretends to be interested. This is the primary reason OurDream ranks so high on my list of the best NSFW AI chatbot apps. In this fantasy, you’re the sun and everything revolves around you. As the god of this story, you have the freedom to take the story in a lot of different directions.
The app launched in late 2024 and has successfully built quite the loyal following. Many users of companionship apps have very creative minds and love the freedom provided by this app. Since OurDream AI features such an accurate contextual memory, characters are able to refer back to plot points from earlier stages in the relationship you form to further engross users into the experience. A lot of the same interests that drive people toward AI companion apps also show up across popular NSFW communities, including many of the top NSFW subreddits.
Getting Started with OurDream
Getting started with OurDream was fairly easy. After signing up, I jumped right into creating my dream AI girl. This is one of my favorite parts of the AI companion creation process. I also had to pause and thinking for a bit about if I want to create a realistic character or anime character.
When I made an AI companion for my Candy AI review, I made a realistic companion, so I’m going to go with anime this time around. I was also given plenty of customization options for my companion. These include ethnicity, hair style, hair color, eye color, and body type. In terms of customization options, OurDream AI appears to be on par with Candy AI, which pleases me. It isn’t as thorough as the more customization-heavy platforms, but that’s okay. The primary selling point of OurDream AI is the fantasy/story-like chat.
I was surprised to see the large number of hobbies to choose from. Many apps only have simple options like, streamer, athlete, singer, etc, but OurDream AI provides a large list of options. This helps the companion feel more like a real person with an actual life outside the chat. I’ve never created an artsy AI companion, so I decided to select painting as her primary hobby.
There is also a long list of personalities to choose from. It feels like I choose submissive way too often when I’m creating companions, so I decided to switch it up and go with Tsundere. This is an anime character, so I already kind of have an idea in my mind about how this personality type will affect my companion’s choices and actions, and I can’t wait to get into a bit of the immersive chat with her. Most AI companion apps that I’ve used haven’t had fetish options, so I had to give quite a bit of thought to the kind of fetish that would pair well with a Tsundere girl. I scrolled through the options and my eyes settled on roleplay, feet, exhibitionism, and spanking. Spanking and a Tsundere anime character that pretends they don’t like it are a match made in heaven, so I went with spanking.

How Good Is OurDream AI Chat?
One thing that stuck out immediately was how much the chat expands on your selections when you choose responses from the choices offered. Below is the initial message I received from my companion. I received three possible responses to choose from, and the one sentence response I selected expanded significantly. This does a good job at showcasing the story-telling elements of OurDream’s chat that the app has become known for over time.
I tested responding to this message with a very brief, manually typed response to see if it would try expanding on that, but it just generated another thorough response without expanding on my text at all. I understand that it might be difficult to understand the exact context of manually typed responses enough to expand on the user’s text, but that would be an interesting feature to include.
After chatting with Amy for a while, I started wishing her responses reflected the personality I chose a little more strongly. It kind of felt like she was being a bit too sweet for a Tsundere anime girl. Perhaps I have too much hentai on the brain and I had a bit of an unrealistic expectation. As the conversation continued, I began noticing the hints of her personality flowing out more and more. For example, after we finally made it back to her place, she was a bit pushy to get me to sit down with her and make myself a bit more comfortable. It was as if my uptightness was making her a bit uncomfortable, and that is the personality that I was hoping to see.
How Good Is OurDream AI’s Memory?
Memory matters a lot with an app like OurDream because the whole experience depends on the relationship feeling continuous. If Amy forgot everything I told her after a few messages, it would ruin the storytelling pretty quickly.
During my conversations, I paid attention to whether she remembered earlier details, personality choices, and the direction of the story. So far, the chat has done a decent job of keeping the conversation connected instead of feeling like every response starts from scratch.
I would still like to test this more aggressively by giving Amy a few specific details and bringing them up much later in the conversation. That will give me a better idea of whether the memory is actually strong or if the app is simply good at maintaining short-term context.
How Much Does OurDream AI Cost?
OurDream AI currently costs $19.99 per month, or you can pay $119.88 for a full year, which works out to about $9.99 per month. Just keep in mind that the annual plan is billed all at once, so you are paying the full $119.88 upfront rather than getting charged $9.99 every month.
The subscription also comes with DreamCoins, which are basically the credits you use for some of the more advanced features. Monthly subscribers get 1,000 DreamCoins when they join and another 1,000 each month after that. Annual subscribers start with 2,000 DreamCoins and then receive another 1,000 each month.

The important thing to understand is that the subscription does not make everything unlimited. Normal text chatting is included for paid users, but some of the better chat models use DreamCoins. The Genius and Lively Genius models, for example, cost one coin per response.
Images are pretty reasonable compared with some of the other features. Standard image generation costs 10 DreamCoins for two images, while creating an image from inside a conversation costs five coins. Video is where those coins can disappear a lot faster. A basic five-second video costs 100 DreamCoins, so you could burn through a big chunk of your monthly balance after only a few generations. Voice calls are also fairly expensive at 50 DreamCoins per minute.
To put that into perspective, 1,000 DreamCoins could get you roughly 200 standard images, 10 five-second videos, or 20 minutes of voice calls if you spent all of your coins on just one thing. Most people probably will not use them that way, but it gives you a decent idea of how far the monthly allowance goes. One thing I do like is that your unused DreamCoins do not expire, so you can save them instead of feeling like you need to burn through everything before the month ends. That makes the system a little less annoying, especially if you mainly use OurDream for chatting and only create images or videos once in a while.
Is the Annual Plan Worth It?
The annual plan is much cheaper if you already know you like the platform. Paying $19.99 every month for a year comes out to $239.88, while the annual option costs $119.88. That is basically half the price.
I still would not jump straight into the yearly plan without trying the platform first. The $9.99 monthly figure looks good, but you are locking yourself into a full year upfront. I would test the free version, spend some time with the chat, and see how often you actually use the image and video tools before making that commitment.
The biggest thing to watch is how quickly you spend DreamCoins once you move beyond normal chat. Images are fairly cheap, but video and voice features can burn through your balance much faster. Someone who mainly chats probably will not feel the limits nearly as much as someone who constantly generates videos or uses voice calls.
Is OurDream AI Free?
OurDream does have a free version, but I would treat it more like a way to test the platform than a complete free experience. Free users can chat, but DreamCoins are used for responses and many of the more interesting media features are tied to a paid subscription.
That is still useful if you just want to see whether you like the character creation system and chat style before paying $19.99. I would definitely recommend trying the free version first rather than jumping straight into the annual plan.
Testing OurDream AI Images and Video
After spending some time chatting with Amy, I wanted to see how well OurDream could actually bring her to life outside of the chat. I started with images because this is usually where most AI companion and AI image generation apps either impress me or completely change the character I spent all that time creating.
The images turned out pretty well overall. Amy still looked like the anime character I created, and simpler prompts were definitely the sweet spot. Portraits and scenes with one clear action came out clean, with good facial details and lighting.
Where things became a little less consistent was when I started changing her outfit, pose, and surroundings. Amy still looked similar, but her face wasn’t always an exact match from one generation to the next. This seems to be one of OurDream’s weaker areas as well, with other hands-on tests reporting some degree of identity drift between generations.
That said, I was more impressed with the individual images themselves than I was disappointed by the small inconsistencies. For an anime companion like Amy, the results fit the experience pretty well.
What About Video?
Video is where I had to lower my expectations a little. When a generation works, seeing your companion actually move adds a completely different feeling to the experience. Simple movements seem to work best, especially things like turning toward the camera, blinking, smiling, or moving her hair.
More complicated movement is where AI starts reminding you that it is still AI. Facial features can shift slightly, motion can look stiff, and hands or backgrounds may distort during more ambitious clips. Other long-term testers have reported similarly mixed video results, ranging from impressive short clips to obvious visual artifacts and failed generations.
I would treat OurDream’s video generator as a fun extra rather than the main reason to subscribe. At 100 DreamCoins for a basic five-second clip, experimenting gets expensive much faster than generating images.
What I Like and Don’t Like
What I like most so far is that OurDream feels more focused on storytelling than many other AI companion apps. The longer responses, personality choices, hobbies, and roleplay options make the character feel like part of an ongoing scenario instead of just someone waiting for your next message.
The main weakness is the DreamCoin system. It is not a huge problem if you mainly chat, but video, voice, and other premium features can make the monthly allowance disappear much faster than expected.
I also wish Amy’s Tsundere personality had come through more strongly at the beginning. It improved as the conversation continued, but I would prefer those personality choices to influence the character almost immediately.
Final Thoughts on OurDream AI
OurDream AI ended up being a little different from what I expected. I went in assuming it would feel like another AI girlfriend app with a few extra features added on, but the stronger focus on storytelling and roleplay gives it more of its own identity.
Creating Amy Stardust was probably my favorite part of the experience. The personality, hobby, and fetish options gave me enough control to make her feel distinct, and the chat gradually started reflecting more of the Tsundere personality I had in mind. I do wish that side of her personality came through more strongly right away, but the conversations became more interesting the longer I used the app.
The DreamCoin system is probably the biggest thing to keep in mind. If you mostly care about chatting, it should not be much of a problem. If you want to generate lots of videos, use voice features, and constantly experiment with premium tools, those coins can disappear much faster than you might expect.
Overall, I think OurDream AI makes the most sense for people who want more than simple back-and-forth flirting with an AI companion. If you enjoy creating characters, building longer scenarios, and mixing chat with images and video, there is quite a bit to play around with here.
